This is me and my life. Pull up a chair and welcome to my world.

4/9/07

So....I'm trying to decide if no one has commented on my blog because it's boring (that CAN NOT be it) or because everyone is too busy. I'm going with the too busy. Because as you can see it's been a long time since I have posted myself. Ok, done complaining. It's about 5 ish on a Monday. My daughter is doing her homework. Actually she is telling my husband that the problem he just circled for her to correct is in fact right. 8 year olds think they are right alot of the time! I don't have anything of great import to report. My life is full of very unimportant stuff but lots of it! Maybe I'll post a picture today if I can figure out how to do it. I tried to do it the other day but it didn't work. It can't be operator error because I am actually technologically savvy! At least a little bit. Okay my husband is back and he's going to want his seat at the computer back and we know that it's all about him.....yet he doesn't bother to visit my blog. He hasn't even ever been to it, let alone comment. I bet you he will visit now because he was standing here while I was defaming him. Actually I will not complain about my husband he is great! I love him oceans and oceans. Peace out.

3/30/07

So.....It's been a long time since I've written because well.... I don't think I've had a free moment that wasn't spent doing something.... Time is flying by. It's March 30th already. The little girl is already way older and way taller than I think she should be.....It's just going by too fast. Life is so full of really hard decisions. God gives us the tools to make the right choices but it's easy to wonder sometimes if we are using the tools correctly. I've seen some people misuse hammers and saws and things! Not my husband of course.... He is actually (as all of you that know him can attest to) a mechanical genius. I don't think there is anything that he can't do. Okay enough about him. He might read this and I don't want him to fall prey to the demon of pride. So, what else can I complain about. Nothing much. My life is actually (other than being insanely busy) really good. For the most part I enjoy my job and I truly love my family to pieces. I've got nothing to complain about. God is awesome. He is always giving us just the right thing. Well off to do something domestic or at least thirtysomethingish. I'm starting to realize that I am truly getting older. I am actually starting to act my age. Scary I know.

Monday....Usually a pretty easy day all in all. The children were not up for the same old monday behavior today. They were in rare form. Things since I got home have not gone much better. I have just finished standing outside waiting for a stuck door handle to fall off for what seemed like 10 years! (I was falsely promised that it would be mere moments that I would be stuck in the cold.... HA!) My husband has decided to apply a little WD-40 to the aforementioned handle instead of replacing it. He will be a scary old Vermonter. WD-40 does not fix all! I am contemplating bed soon. I know it is only 7:15, but I am 31 now you know....

Today is Sunday and I have risen at the crack of dawn as usual so that I can spend a few hours working on my lesson plans for the next week of school. Those eager, young minds are never satisfied. Which is good, but alot of work! Especially this young, you can't just set them to a task and let them go most of the time. You must circulate and monitor.... So, I get up with the puppy (for those of you that didn't know we recently acquired a golden retriever pup. Her name is Biscuit (after the dog in the popular easy reader series, recommended by one of my students). She is about 10 weeks old now I guess. She is very cute and going to be a tank!) Back to my original sentence...I get up with the puppy and then spend a few hours working on plans in the quiet of O'dark thirty in hopes that I can spend Sunday afternoon observing the Sabbath rest. I am trying to do all my cooking for the week/house cleaning on Saturday, and lessons Sunday early AM so that the afternoon is free for vegetating and reflection. Trying to put into practice a good message that our pastor gave last week. Trying anyway! A side note if you are new to my blog (which you all are seeing as this is only my second post ever!) even though I am a teacher....I will not be chained by the rules of grammar. I will write freely and without constraint. You might not see too many spelling errors because that is a pet peeve of mine. However, I will not be stressing out over whether or not my interjection should have a comma or whether it should be it's own sentence. I do enough of that during the week... Ok, so that having been said. I better go and work on some more of those plans or else there will be no quiet introspection this afternoon...

Happy Saint Patricks Day to everyone! It is a snowy Saturday here. 13 inches from yesterday to today! I have finally given in and joined the ranks of my friends who have encouraged me to get a blog. Now at least maybe we will be able to stay in touch. As soon as I tell them I have one! Today was a busy day but very fun. We were actually able to stay home! I cooked all day and my husband snowblowed almost all day..... Sorry no thought provoking dialogue on current issues of our times tonight....too tired! Goodnight.
